Upcoming films that have been announced and will likely release in 2022 or 2023 include The Haunted Mansion, National Treasure 3, and Clue, among several others. Other Disney films that have been announced and are expected to be released at various points in 2022 are the Cheaper by the Dozen remake starring Gabrielle Union and Zach Braff (a Disney+ exclusive), an animated Night at the Museum film, and Peter Pan & Wendy, a live-action adaptation of the 1953 film. Sister Act 3, National Treasure 3, and Kingsman: The Blue Blood have all been announced, but have no release dates scheduled. Interestingly, both films are set for streaming only and will forego a theatrical release for now. Hocus Pocus 2and Disenchanted, the sequel to 2007's Enchanted, have also been announced, and will land in theaters at some point in 2022, though no official release dates has been confirmed. These dates could change, but the James Cameron-directed sequels finally seem stable with their release dates, with Avatar 5 coming all the way in December 2028. That may seem like a long time from now, but it's good to have all the films on the movie schedule radar. Avatar 3 is slated for a Decemrelease, with Avatar 4 set for two years after in 2026. However, there are a few confirmed release dates as the studio looks farther into the future. Things were constantly in a state of flux due to the pandemic and the delays it caused (and still is). The studio also has a number of projects that have been announced and are in various stages of development and production. However, it's nearly impossible to establish which movies will release when until their release dates are officially confirmed, and that doesn't even include all the ones that are releasing from Lucasfilm ( Rogue Squadron) and Marvel Studios ( Blade, among many others), or the ones that might still be delayed or have a release date change. Walt Disney Pictures is one of the biggest movie studios in the world, so it makes sense for them to plan out their release schedule for the next four years, from now through 2025. Here's a rundown of every upcoming Disney movie - that are non-Marvel or Star Wars - releasing through 2025. But the upcoming release slate certainly includes a number of films that fit into that category, as well as a range that challenge it directly. Suffice it to say movies released by Disney no longer adhere to such a close definition as they once did, given all the studios that operate under the entertainment giant's purview. What the future holds now that Disney is steadily releasing several of the films from its acquisition of 20th Century Fox - The Last Duel, which bombed at the box office, and The French Dispatch, which did alright financially as an arthouse film - remains to be seen. With the acquisition of 20th Century Fox (now 20th Century Studios), Disney has a lot more psychological thrillers and horrors on its plate as well, including the upcoming West Side Story and Encanto.

And, while Star Wars and the Marvel Cinematic Universe are a big piece of the Disney pie, the company still has plenty of upcoming movies that fall under the brand of family-friendly fairytales and adventures.

Most recently, the studio released Free Guy, starring Ryan Reynolds, a film that did pretty well at the box office, The Eyes of Tammy Faye, and the animated Ron's Gone Wrong. In recent years, Disney has seen considerable success with live-action remakes like Cruellaand Maleficent, as well as animated properties like Frozen II, and they're continuing to push the envelope into the 2020s with Turning Red and more. The company has several more movies - both animated and live-action - that will be released over the course of the next few years. Disney has become one of the top grossing movie studios, with its plethora of original movies, live-action retellings of animated features, and Marvel and Star Wars IP making worldwide box office splashes.
